Ok ladies.. so i was offered the job on wed. i called an hour after the interview to let them know i would be accepting. (knowing she was interviewing someone else as i was leaving)
now when i called back to accept she said she would call me later in the day with details (this was at 2pm on wed.) i still have not heard back
I called yesterday to follow up and she was not in.
should i be worried that maybe i didnt get the job? Should i call again today to follow up? i dont want ot be a pest but i dont want to miss out b/c i wasnt assertive enough...
PLEASE HELP!
UPDATE:
ok so i just called.. seems like they are a bit disorganized!!! glad i called. I got a start date.. Aug. 11th and it may not be a full 40 hours so looks like i will still keep my part time job for a few hours a week but at least i have info!
now since im going to be keeping my part time job do i have to tell this job? i really have no intentions on telling them?

Don't worry! They offered it to you - I would say the chances are very slim that they are going to take it back! Things just might be really busy, or maybe she is waiting on some info to give you.

Do you have an email? If not, leave another message saying your haven't heard back from her and you wanted to make sure everything was okay. You are excited and looking forward to joining their team.

Try to be patient till Monday if you don't hear anything. But you also should remember it is the squeeky wheel that gets the oil!! Persistance is a fine line to walk....but it is a good trait to have!

I agree. If you can hold off till Monday, that would be best. Give her a call on Monday just to 'follow up' on those details...

I would definitely call this afternoon when maybe it is a little less busy but definitely before the weekend. Since you didn't take the job on the spot you have to show you are interested.
What did they say when you called back to accept the job?

I think it depends did they tell you when they wanted you to start? If they said right away I would call them if the said a couple of weeks I would give them to Monday

I agree--it's Summer and she may be on vacation for a few days, or sometimes things just move more slowly in the Summer--if they offered and you accepted, they probably won't be taking it back

If you are going to call tonight remember that most companies have 'summer hours' so I'd call before 3:00 and if you don't get her just remember that they probably left early..\ Don't sweat it.. they gave you the offer...you accepted!! Your golden!!!

heres a little more info...
when i called back to accept.. she said 'will you be home today?' i said yes she said...'i ill call you later today with more details'
didnt hear from her.. when i called yesterday the ladies in the office said she was off but would be back today.
the hours are 8am-8pm
No start day was established
Do i call or wait till monday?

I would wait till later on this afternoon and give her call! Since they offered it to you they are probably gathering all the info they need before having you come in to fill out some paperwork.

thanks i got a jobin drs. office. im very comfortable in that environment and felt it would be a great way to transition to a 'nurse' plus the stress level is must lower and prob a great place to be while im going back to school/ having babies (hopefully soon)

Awww...Congrats!!!! I have a certification in Medical Billing! I was going for lots of interviews but then I stopped when I became engaged in October. I need this job where I am at now for my honeymoon and all wedding things coming up when I half to leave early..no new job will let me do that...so after the wedding the hunt is on!!!

DONT WORRY.... the job i have now.. i interview in the begining of may.... was offered the job around memorial day... and i did not start until JUNE 23....
the entire hiring process was soooo long.. and dont get discouraged.. i did and i was just temp. delayed...
call again... if she is not in i woudl not leave another message... shes knows about you was just possible held up at the time.

I would call back to follow up today and then try again on mon if I did not get in touch. Sometimes phone messages get lost and you want to talk to her, not keep playing phone tag. Congrats and good luck!
