I have a problem... I don't know what I should register for. Let me explain.. I love to cook. Therefore, I already have purchased extremely high end pots, frying pans, and appliances. There is literally NOTHING I need for cooking, except for a meat cleaver, and a larger food processor.
So far, we registered for good china, crystal, and flatware (service for 12). We would have been fine, except my mom admitted to me that she bought the entire flatware set for us!!!
Amazingly generous, but now what will people get for the shower and wedding? we need no sheets or towels.... I can tell you what we DO need.... FURNITURE. We need a new bedroom set, couch, and office. We will eventually want to get a king bed/frame (doesn't fit right now).
Have you ever heard of someone registering for stuff like that? What do guests do, get gift cards? Please give us suggestions.... furniture or not, of stuff I may have forgotten!!!!!

I also put a marriage certificate holder, its very cute lol. Lots of vases and most of them i put are from the breast cancer awareness collection so half of it goes to charity they also have beautiful crystal candy bowls.
Ice cream maker Quesadilla maker crepe maker popcorn machine mini deep fryer fondue set mini chocolate fountain Ionic breeze air cleaner glass coasters stuff for the bathroom-soap dispenser, toothbrush holder and all that, plus towels, a fogless mirror a really nice vanity bench massage chair cushion lots of pillows sheets and pillow cases blankets chenille throw blankets rapid wine chiller wine cellar ipod home speaker system boxing punching bag haha

Re: what should I register for????
You can register for your HM. I know there are sites where you register for the activities that you're interested in doing and then your guests can go online and pay for them for you!!

Re: what should I register for????
Look up other peoples registries for ideas. Are any of your friends/co-workers/cousins engaged?

Re: what should I register for????
thanks for all your ideas....
we unfortunately already paid for the HM...
As for the extensive list, believe it or not, we already have most of those items... even the crepe pan and fondue pot! We also have more bedding than we have storage space.
must think of something.... I will try to look at others registries, although none of my friends are getting married soon....

Re: what should I register for????
bed bath and beyond has a good registry suggestion - except it sounds like you may have all of it already.... but might give you some ideas....
you can even register at Pottery Barn or Restoration Harware...they have great furiniture too, oh wait you said you were looking at more modern like CB2, right? Hmmm.....

Re: what should I register for????
you can register for them on somewhere like crate and barrel, and then put the option for gift cards...if you get them, you get 10% off at the end for whatever goes unpurchased...just an idea..i think you can do it at fortunoff, too

Re: what should I register for????
what about registering for serving pieces, entertaining/hostess items (if you like to entertain, you can never have too much!) Also, you might think about updating some items you might already have (new sheets, linens, towels) Don't just limit yourself to Department Stores when you register. I registered at Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn for my E-party, and got lots of cool pieces that I will use for many years to come

Re: what should I register for????
One thought- I don't know how much furniture bbb has, but remember that they have an amazing return policy, you can return anything/everything for cash or returns. So if BBB has some of that stuff, you can register for it there...
hth!
