What should I serve my students after my ceremony?
Hi ladies, As many of you know i'm a preschool teacher & owner. I am guessing about 40 of my students will be attending the ceremony w/ their parents. The children will be my 'flower children' and throw rose petals before I walk down the aisle.
I am having refreshments for the families after the ceremony in a room at the church.
What should I serve??
drinks: bottled water, juice & soda
cheese & crackers veggie platter a hero? i need more ideas (cold items nly)
I am having a cake & cupcakes thaks for your help.

I would do juice and cupcakes. It doesn't have to be more than that.

I feel like I have to have more for the parents because the church is so far from the school. Also, i'm sure my other guests will be pigging out betweent the church and reception 3 hours later!

i agree, infact if you're having cake you can cut out the cupcakes(only if you want) and have something else besides sweets. If they don't eat before they get there they'll need something else. So go for a hero or a tray of wraps. Or maybe getting a big thing of baked zitti or something similar

Awww that's such a good idea and very cute....
I would say: veggie platter chips and dip wraps? cake and cupcake
soda, water and juice
that should be more than enough

Costco has platters of wraps that are cut into pieces. They are not expensive and there are all different kinds.

i think you have enough actually, maybe a fruit bowl too. you can get a nice fruit bowl and veggie platter from costco/bjs.
depending on the time of your ceremony a hero or bagels is good

That's sweet, to include your students!! Debi and her classmates, in elementary school, sang at their teacher's wedding! I think a wrap/cupcake/drink would be sufficient. Mary MOB

Re: What should I serve my students after my ceremony?
It's so cute when students show up at a ceremony. My sister-in-law is a teacher, and her students came to the Church, and she took a pic with them. My mom is also a teacher, and some of her students came to my brother and sister-in-law's wedding too.
I definitely think the wraps is a good idea. Some sort of finger sandwiches is always good. Water, soda, and juice is good for the parents/kids to drink. And the fruit bowl idea sounds good too. It's really nice of you to do a refreshment thing. I'm sure most people won't be expecting it, so anything you get will be fine.
