I am planning on ordering my gown online but I am worried about getting the right size. Does anyone know of a bridal shop that will measure me and tell me what size to get even if I do not buy a dress from them? (If if matters, the dress is an Eve of Milady) TIA!!

Re: What size do I order?
Where are you going to get the dress altered? Maybe go there and tell them the situation and they can measure you.

Re: What size do I order?
That's a good diea. Go to thweere it'kll be altered or any place that does alterations, evena dry cleaners sometimes...I'd order it. But make sure you use thier size charts, and I'd defintiely go for bigger over smaller if there's a discrepancy because you can always take something in

Re: What size do I order?
Just a little word of advice, when ordering try to order the next size bigger. Because its easiter to 'take in' then to 'take out'.
I ordered an Eve of Milady from Bridal Reflections and just so happened they measured me wrong. I went back (before they placed my order) and I ordered the next size bigger. I wasn't crazy about the size I orderd (no one wants to order larger), but its less stress in the long run.

I'm considering ordering online as well - which website are you ordering from?

Re: What size do I order?
I ordered my dress from Pearl's Place. They were great to deal with and my dress came fast, and in beautiful condition. What I did was try it on the in the salon...I tried size 8 at one salon (too small) then tried another sample size 12 in another salon (too big). So I ordered a size 10 (couldn't find that size sample on LI).
My suggestion would be to try it on somewhere and get an idea of how the sizing runs.
I had the dry cleaner and DH measure me a few times and used the designers chart to determine what I thought would work.
I also ordered from bridesave and they helped me figureout what size would be best based on the measurements taken.
My dress fit perfect - no alterations (except hem).

Re: What size do I order?
Thanks ladies. I will be ordering from Pearl's place. It was soo much cheaper than any salon I looked at!
Stephanie: I am glad that you had a good experience with them, I am a little nervous about ordering online.

Don't be nervous about ordering from Pearl's Place. It's an actual salon in New Orelans---I got my dress there since I am from NO and went dress shopping there.
