Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
We were still there for a bit longer, but not much.. It is def. a HOT song though, gives me the chills and I get all hyper, kind of like a pavlov dog effect..lol
Mike wants to pop in a cd and have the bridal party walk into some hard core techno beat...my mother would be like, 'something is wrong with the cd!'..lol

From This Moment by Shania Twain. We both love the lyrics. We both decided on it when we heard it play in the place where we met and felt like it was meant to be. I did not realize so many other people were using that song too!

Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
I am using 'You' by Jane Krakowski and Jim Brickman. It is not a real popular song. The only time I ever heard it on the radio was when I was shopping at Stop n Shop in Setauket. I was shopping and heard the song, I was so excited I called my mom from my cell phone.
we used At Last for our choreographed routine and then Somewhere Beyond the Sea (Bobby Darrin) and had everyone come out to join us...
just my thoughts on More Than A Woman: this is a song about you and FH...I think it should equally represent your relationship...JMHO and something to think about

Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
'Come What May' - From Moulin Rouge (First movie we saw together) by Nicole Kidman & Ewan McGregor
Never knew I could feel like this Like I've never seen the sky before I want to vanish inside your kiss Seasons may change, winter to spring But I Love You, until the end of time
Come what may Come what may I will Love You Until my dying day
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste It all revolves around you
And there's no mountain too high No river too wide Sing out this song, I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather And stars may collide But I Love You, I Love You, Until the end of time
I will Love You, Come what may, Yes, I will Love You Come what may, I will Love You, Til my dying day

Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
I want to use 'At Last' by Etta James at some point in the reception, but not as our first dance. Our song now is 'I Belong to You' by Lenny Kravitz, and the lyrics work well, but the beat doesn't lend itself to a slow dance. Love the lyrics though, so I'm still considering it:
You are the flame in my heart You light my way in the dark You are the ultimate star You lift me from up above Your unconditional love Takes me to paradise I belong to you And you You belong to me too You make my life complete You make me feel so sweet You make me feel so divine Your soul and mind are entwined Before you I was blind But since I've opened my eyes And with you there's no disguise So I could open up my mind I always loved you from the start But I could not figure out That I had to do it everyday So I put away the fight Now I'm gonna live my life Giving you the most in every way I belong to you And you You belong to me too You make my life complete You make me feel so sweet Oh I belong to you I belong to you And you, you You belong to me too You make my life complete You make me feel so sweet Oh I belong to you I belong to you And you, you You belong to me too You make my life complete You make my life complete You make me feel so sweet Oh I belong to you I belong to you And you, and you You belong to me too You make my life complete You make my life complete You make me feel so sweet

Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
Right now we are thinking the 1st dance will be Marc Anthony's 'You're the Reason' and the second dance will be to Foreigner's 'Waiting for a Girl Like You.'

Re: What song are you using for your 1st dance?
Here are my wedding Song Lyrics I didn't ask for anyones comments if they thought MY song was right for Ronnie and I!.... It is Beautiful and perfect!
Girl, I've known you very well I've seen you growing every day I never really looked before But now you take my breath away Suddenly you're in my life A part of everything I do You got me workin day and night Just tryin to keep a hold on you Here in your arms I found my paradise My only chance for happiness And if I lose you now, I think I would die Say you'll always be my baby We can make it shine We can take forever just a minute at a time
You are more than a woman More than a woman to me More than a woman More than a woman to me
There are stories old and true Of people so in love like you and me And I can see myself Let history repeat itself Reflecting how I feel for you And thinking about those people then I know that in a thousand years I'd fall in love with you again This is the only way that we should fly This is the only way to go And if I lose your love, I know I would die Say you'll always be my baby We can make it shine We can take forever just a minute at a time
You are more than a woman More than a woman to me More than a woman More than a woman to me
You are more than a woman More than a woman to me More than a woman More than a woman to me
Song 2 In your Eyes - Luz Divina
Chorus:
Your eyes bight blue as the sky Deeper than the sea Warm as the sun And peaceful as a light breeze Your eyes capture me in an instant And keep me hypnotized And I get lost everytime in your eyes
Ever since that day That you looked into my eyes I knew I wanted to be yours forever And baby late at night you're all I think about I know that we belong together And here we are In each other's arms And I'm praying that we never have to part
chorus
Sometimes I'm so scared I'd lose this perfect love My life is tied to yours forever And since I found you I don't know what I'd do If you and I aren't together You give me life In a way that I Will never be able to describe
Chorus

Stepping in here, I think More Than a Woman is a beautiful song, yes the chorus may be singing about a woman, but if you read the lyrics its fitting for a couple. Maybe that song holds something special for Ronnie & Theresa, and for them its 'right'

We are trying to decide between 'Someone like You' by Van morrison and 'That's All' by Rod Stewart.
