what stores are your favorite for accent pieces?

shelzyp showed me jcpenney...and I want to go an look since it seems reasonable...


any other ideas?

By accents do you mean frames, vases, candle holders, etc? If so we found a lot of things we like at Pier One, Bed Bath & beyond and places like that. If you get marshalls on a good day you can get some great things.

i like bombay company. some of their stuff is really weird, but some of it i love! they have great sales too.

i need to check out penneys. i heard they have affordable curtains there too.

I like Pier One, LnT, BBB....but, I really *love* Home Goods. Sometimes, the Marshall's Mega Store has a good home accessory selection, too.

I love Marshalls...but of course its hit or miss...

jenny...I know that you love Ballard Designs like me...I was thinking of getting a few things from there...but they are pretty pricey...

Ballard's - they actually have 2 or 3 warehouse-type stores in GA.
Pier 1 for candles, museum frames and 'funky' accent pieces
Marshall's for frames

I know Yabbo - it was even better when my FSIL was a designer for the showroom's in GA! For a while our apt. was looking like an ad for Ballard Designs.

I have a few pieces from JC Pennys, Pottery Barn, BBB and Linens & Things. You can also purchase Pottery Barn stuff on eBay for good prices.

We just went to IKEA today..I think they have great pictures, plants, rugs and shelving.
Smaller accents def. home goods, and Marshalls

I love Anthropologie for random hooks and little details. Another great store is Z Gallerie. (not sure if that has hit LI yet) It is a combo of Pier 1 and Pottery Barn type stuff.

Overall, I like Home Goods/TJ Maxx, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Retrospect Home, Room & Board, and sometimes Target.
