Do you mean Health FSA accounts? As in flexible spending? If so, it is an account that you have money from your paycheck put into. For example, I have $400 for the whole year and it is split between all of my paychecks.

This money is NOT taxed and you can use it for health benefits - co-pays, glasses/contacts, prescriptions, doctor visits, etc.

Hope this helps!

And you have to make sure that you use up all the money otherwise you lose it and you get taxed on the money you don't use

Re: what the ()*)(!*)@!(*#)!@$*(*

this is so confusing......

one plan (basic) is a deductible of 1500 a year and the company gives you 500, so its really 1000 a year that you contibute to your HSA....once that 1500 is used, after that, the company pays 80% of any expenses and you pay 20%.......ok fine. This plan costs 26$ a pay period........

THEN the premium is $11 a pay period and the deductible is $2500 (again, the company gives you 500 so its really $2000).........this will all be pretax so coming out of my paycheck.......once I hit the 2500 deductible, I am covered 100% of any expenses I hit for the entire year.

So if I go to the hospital god forbid in Jan and I have the premium plan and if my bill is 2700, for the rest of the year I don't owe a thing.....if I have the 1500 plan and I have a 2700 bill, the 1500 is used, then the remaining 1200 I will be responsible for 240$ of it and the remaning will be coveered by my company..........and any reaming bills I incur the rest of the year.....

is anyone good with this?? I work with #s all day and cant even figure it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
