I just got my ring back from the manufacturer yesterday because a side stone kept falling out. The ring was bent so they fixed it and said it should be fine now.
Now, my center stone is loose and actually spinning! The stone was not loose at all when I picked it up last night. But seems to have loosened up over the course of one day. I put it in a ziploc and I'm going back to the jeweler tonight.
But, what the heck!?
Is my ring defective???
Edit:
Just got back. They said they expected it to loosen up a little and that's why they wanted me to come back within a week. They added a little bit more metal to the prongs and they said the diamond will never come out. Ooookay. Well, I feel a little better.

I used to work for a jewelery designer... The person doing the work on it is not doing it properly and who ever quality controlled that ... well thats just SCARY... good luck! i hope this time they fix it correctly!!

It wasn't loose last night though when they gave it to me. Could the metal be too soft or something? It's only 4 prongs.

That is just not ok... Where is the ring from? Sometimes if it's from a chain store like Zales or something, they will replace it. Otherwise, I would fight with them and demand to get a replacement.

Sometimes they heat up the ring when they fix it and the stone was fine but probably got loose when the metal cooled off.
that's what happened to me, they sized me and the ring was really hot when i put it on and i was like oh that's fine
couple hours later, the metal cooled down and my ring was still big on me
