What the heck??? Haunted blackberry. update

I got a weird text from my brother this morning. I deleted it, but now after I make a phone call or receive a phone call my phone starts playing 'My heart will go on.' That's not even close to my ring tone!

I turned the phone to silent and it still won't stop. Now, I just turned my phone completely off and it's still playing!!

I had to take the battery out to get it to stop.

Help???????

Update: Well, whatever it was, pulling the battery seems to have made it stop. It could have been worse, there seems to be another one going around to the tune of Rod Stewart 'If you want my body and you think I'm sexy.'

I have noooooo idea.. maybe it's some kind of weird virus? Did your brother actually and actively send you that text?

That is crazy!! Maybe it was a virus.. I would get in touch with your carrier.

omg, that's horrible!

i would try backing up your blackberry and then wiping it out and then restoring it.

sounds like a virus.

(Which happens to be my ACTUAL ringtone. ....the original Japanese version, not the lame American version.)

I'm sorry, but its kinda funny. I have no idea what happened though. I coudl see somethign like that happening to me... all sorts of weird stuff like that only happens to me lol

wow, that is so creepy. i can't imagine what i would do if that happened to me while i was home alone...i would totally think i was in a horror movie lol

my BB does weird stuff sometimes too, but nothing that weird

you're the 2nd person today who I learned of this..My friend at work just told me that her Blackberry keeps ringing with a new ring tone even when its set on Silent/Vibrate..She had to pull out the battery each time and its gotten worse because she has meetings and the phone goes off in the middle...its very upsetting to her...and the ring DOES NOT STOP..shes gotten calls at 10 pm...

She plans to call Verizon to find out how to get that disabled...I hope your case isnt as bad as hers!

I'm reading that you should remove th battery for 7 an 1/2 minutes to allow for a complete hard drive reboot.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!

I was sitting in the waiting room at the train station and all of a sudden it started blasting some weird song! I don't even think that I have that song on my blackberry! It wouldn't stop until I took the battery out (which took a few minutes). It was so embarrassing,

Sorry I don't have a solution but let me know if you find out why this happens!
