What the heck is the matter with me? Why can't I sleep?
I'm meeting with the rabbi at 11 this morning and I have to take a bus to meet my FFIL to drive us to White plains, so I have to get up in an hour, but I wokr up at like 4:30 am and I haven't been able to go back to sleep! I must be nervous - I think it's just general wedding anxiety! What do you do for wedding insomnia?!

I don't know how to cure it, but I hear ya. When I've got a lot on my mind, I find it hard to fall asleep, and then I also wake up much earlier than usual.

Maybe not the best long term solution for wedding insomnia, but when I can tell I'm going to have trouble sleeping, and I'm going to be doing something the next day that requires me to be well rested, I take 1 tylenol PM an hour or two before I go to bed. It really does help!

It's probably your wedding nerves. Everything will be ok. Maybe a sleeping tea? The reason why I can't sleep is because my neighbor is trying to plow whatever snow/slush there is out there since 7:30am. He woke up the whole block. My mom is gonna talk to him cause he makes noise 7 days a week. It's becoming very annoying. Sorry but I had to vent.

When I can't sleep, I read, even for a few minutes.

I was wondering the same. And it's not even my wedding we're getting ready for. I truly feel for all of you and for my daughter. She goes through the same thing. I'm go glad she was able to go away with friends for a couple of day. She needs it, and so do I! I wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning, and all the things I have to do just rush in my mind. There are favors to finish, shawls to sew, the bridal shower to plan with invitations, tables and chairs to rent, etc. etc... If I knew at midnight I'd have trouble, I'd find something to take, but at 4 who can risk sleeping late and being groggy all morning? If anyone has a solution, looks like many of us want to hear it. LOL!
