What the hell is a Letter of Freedom??

What the hell is a Letter of Freedom and where do I get it??
My church waited until this morning to tell me that I needed one!!!

from your original parrish you need a letter written saying that they have not witnessed any marriages and have no record of any marriages in your name...the letter needs to be signed by 2 witnesses

ETA: if you didn't really participate at your original parrish where you were baptised call your church and tell them 'I haven't been an active member of my previous parrish since i was ___ and I don't have a relationship with any of the clergy there...who should i get the letter of freedom from?' when i said that to my priest he said don't worry about it.

your fh will need one as well
