your response cards? I am having a church ceremony at 6pm and cocktail hour starts at 8pm. I put 5:30pm on the invites for the ceremony, but what time should I put for the cocktail hour? Should I put 8 or half hour before?

Same - are you supposed to put an earlier time? I am getting married at 3pm and I put 3pm. My CH is at 6:30pm so I put 6:30pm. If people show up too early, I worry they will be sitting around waiting.

Re: What time are you putting on.....
my ceremony starts at 2 and i put 2pm on my invites. my CH starts at 5:30pm and i put 5:30pm onmy invites. you guys arenot wrong. but in some cultures, people know that their friends and faimilies are going to be late so to avoid latecomers, they make the time earlier.

Re: What time are you putting on.....
People are notoriously late in my family, so for the ceremony I def have to put an earlier time. Plus my wedding is on a Friday and there will be traffic. For the cocktail hour I think I will just put 8pm tho, bc even if they are late to that, the reception does not begin until 9pm.

Re: What time are you putting on.....
Big part of my friends and family are late for everything specially FH's parents. So to be in the safe side I put 30 minutes before. It's better safe than sorry.

Re: What time are you putting on.....
Most of the people I invited are ALWAYS late, so I made sure I wrote that the ceremony is at 6:00 even though it starts at 7pm. I am sorry but I need to make sure everyone is there ON TIME.
The Cocktail hour: 7;30pm.

Re: What time are you putting on.....
I put 11 Am for the ceremony (which it is ) and 1 OPM for CH (which it is)
I figured my friends would flip if we put 10:30 AM!

We're getting married at our RH. The invitation is 30 minutes earlier than the actual ceremony time.

I'm an idiot ... I put the time the ceremony started, with a note saying 'Adult reception immediately following'
