We are doing a buffet dinner since with indian food, you need several different dishes per person and the tables will get too crowded otherwise.
Our reception starts at 8pm and we're thinking of serving at 9-ish. I know that's late but our cocktail hour is going to have 5 different stations with ALOT of food!!

Our reception starts at 830.. so dinner will prob be served at around 9ish? Our Viennese hour starts at 1130. HTH!
ETS: We didn't have a buffet though.

Thanks ladies. I know most people do a sit down dinner but with indian food, it's very difficult.
Since we are doing a huge cocktail hour (5 different international stations) along with several butler passed items, I think dinner at 9:30 should be ok. Then dessert around 10:15 (including viennese display).
I can't believe it's less than 3 weeks away!!!!!!!!!!!!

i honestly have no clue i just went with the flow when someone poited out that my food was on the table i ate it! lol i didnt even place my own order DH knew what i wanted so he got it for me. i had 2 bites of salad 2 bites of the apps. and a majority of the dinner i was bouncin all over the place wayyy to excited to eat! lol

Our cockail hour goes from 7:30-8:30 so dinner won't be served until 10ish.

I didn want my guests to have to wait to eat dinner. I made sure dinner wasnt served any later than 8pm. Our wedding Reception started at 5pm though.
