What time does your ceremony start and what time does your reception start and...

are you having anything available for the gap in between?

also, how did you word the reception cards in the invites?

Hi Annie,
We are getting married at the church at 10:30am and our cocktail hour starts at 1:00. To be honest, I didn't give any thought about the gap in between except that it would be a perfect amount of time for us to take pictures. We have a while to go (4/23/05) so now that you mentioned it, I will put some thought into this. Sorry, haven't even thought of invites yet either. Good luck

My ceremony is at 3.30, I put on teh invitation 3.15 as a quarter past three.

My reception is at 6.30, but I had them put 6.15 so noe one would be late.

www.verseit.com has a lot of options for teh invitation.

There will be a two hour gap between teh end of teh ceremony and the reception. The reception hall is about 45 minutes-50 minutes away. We are having a lot of the guest who will be staying in the hotel meet up at 5.45 and we hired a bus that will bring them to JA's so they can drink at the reception and not worry about driving.

My church ceremony is at 3:00 and my coctail hour starts at 6:00.

our ceremony is at 3 - the reception is at 6 - we arranged to have a pre-cocktail hr downstairs for early arrivals - and to be honest, we made that big gap so that we could go and take our pics get back to hall and then enjoy the cocktail hr!!

My ceremony is at 11:00 and reception at 1:00. I read in a magazine a suggestion to fill the time gap is to have a relative or close friend have guest come back to their house for wine and crackers or whatever you want to serve them.

Church at 1 in Queens..... CH at 4:30 in Suffolk.... not really much time to fill the gap there. We will be taking pics if we arrive early. There is a small coffee shop near the reception hall that we told some people to go to, b/c they don't live in the area & will not be able to go home & change in between.

Ceremony is from 3-4pm and the
Cocktail hour is at 5:30pm

Our guests have to drive from Huntington (North Shore) to Oakdale (South Shore), but they can also kill time in Huntington Village, assuming the weather cooperates.

My ceremony is at 12, cocktail hour at 12:30 and reception 1:30 - all in the same place. easy for me easy for the guests! of course that brings up the dilema of shoud we see each other before the wedding to take pictures of not....

Church- 3, Reception- 6
On the invitations it states the that the ceremony begins at three o'clock.
On the reception card it says that the reception starts at 6.
Very simple, very plain.
