yes, we're actually getting married at 6:30pm and the banquet manager at Vineyards did suggest we write 6pm. It makes sense, because there are always a few people cutting it close, or coming from far away.

our ceremony starts at 7 and we were told to put 6:30 to insure everyone is there on time.

I had a 6:30 cermony and that is what I put on the invitation. There is ALWAYS a wait no matter what time you say. The invitations are fine!

I put the actual time on the invites. I ended up being late because my limo driver refused to listen to me when I told her that she turned the wrong way at a light. So, I ended up being 10 minutes late. It took us another 8 minutes for last minute photos and all of the girls getting situated.

But, I remember that when I pulled up to the church, there was a couple still walking from the parking lot to the church. And, get this: My DH lived across the street from the church. That's where these people were coming from! They were at his house over an hour before our ceremony, but couldn't walk across the street in time for our wedding!

the real problem with putting your actual start time is that a lot of people will assume that you put it a half hour ahaead of time.. and will really be late! We missed half of one of his friend's weddings once.
