what time was your reception?

i'm having an evening wedding on a sat in june- i was wondering if i should have the reception at 6pm or 7:30? i'm also adding the viennese hour.

It depends on when your ceremony is, but I would do it at 6 so people aren't driving home so late.

I think if you are doing the viennese hour, then do 6:30, otherwise it will end really late. That's my opinion.

we are having a full ceremony at 3pm its 1 hour long. so by the time we get to the rh it will be aroung 4:30-5:00pm. and then we have to take pics hopefully all before cocktail hour which starts at 7. we also have a full vienese hour the party goes from 7-1, its a six hour party.

Our church is at 3:30 and my cocktail starts at 8. Reception ends at 1. It may be late but it's a saturday night and I'm going to look into blocking rooms at a nearby hotel for our guests

my church is at 2:30
my CH is at 7:30
my reception starts at 8:30
VH 12:30-1:30
afterhours 1:30-2:30

i have posted this a billion times because i am NOT happy about this

i will be the first bride to fall asleep at her wedding and it is FH's fault!

thanks guys for your advice- i think it will better for me & my guests to start the reception at 6pm

I am having my cocktail hour start at 7. With the vienesse it will end at 1.

so maybe i should leave my wedding at 7:30pm even though it will be a long night- they can go home & rest between church & reception! b/c right now CLM is booked at 6pm.

so this is how my wedding day looks:

church:3-4
cocktail hour- 7:30-8:30pm
reception:8:30-12:30
Viennese hour: 12:30-1:30am
