Hi ladies, I have a quick question. I have an appt tomorrow with my new obgyn and I'm wondering what questions I should ask him. This is my first appt where the thought of TTC is slightly present. We aren't actively trying, but if it happens, we'll be happy! We will be actively trying next year at this time. I guess my main concern is trying to figure out if we'll have a hard time conceiving when we do try. Is there a way we can find out about this now? I don't want to wait a year to try and then have it take a year of trying. Does this make sense? Any help you ladies can give is appreciated as always!!

I would tell your dr that you are going to start ttc. They may want to start you on prenatal vitamins. I would ask them what advice they have for you and how long you should wait before coming back if you have not conceived in a certain amount of time.It probably changes depending on your age. It is very hard to determine if you will have trouble or not TTC, unless you have a medical problem that can be seen thru an internal exam or simple blood test. Talk to her about your plans and ask her for prenatal (or buy them at GNC like I do) and discuss with her your concerns. Also, ask her what her opinion is on labor, what hospitals she works with etc...
