So, FH and I are going Saturday to leave deposit for Leonard's. Is this when we sign the contract? What should I make sure is on there? Is it customary that you cannot make changes after it's signed? When we went there last monday, I asked 101 questions, and got all the answers. I just wonder seeing as our wedding is still just under 2 yrs away, what if we want to make changes? Such as add or take away something? Thanks in advance for an advice. I just don't want to get screwed (that's my biggest fear with all this wedding stuff). Oh, and is it too early to go to other vendors (photo, florist, etc) to get pricing, even though wedding is in July 2006? Sorry to have rambled. Thanks!!

I would look at all your notes and type up an appendix to the contract. Every single thing that they told you is included should be in writing.. From the silverware the amount of votives you will have at your disposal-- EVERYTHING.

No, too me it is never to early to book the vendors. As for as leonards, see if they can throw anything in for free. Like the chair covers. If they can upgrade the menu, or lower your price per person. Good Luck.
Don't be scared. It looks a little intimidating sometimes. They will negotiate with you in the beggining. Not in the end.

As for the chair covers, Maurizio is throwing them in b/c we saw the room with them. Our menu is, regular CH with shrimp cocktail upgrade, 4 choice dinner, and we chose the Parisian dessert trays. It's $73/pp which is fine. Would I like it lower, yes. But I am not sure where/how to negotiate. Can we do that on the cake? I know I want flowers on and around my cake.
