Really have no idea. Party coming up next month. we're not invited to church, just a party Sat night. Never been invited to a child's communion party before. This is a first. don't really want to give cash, expecially for a young child, but will if I have to.

I heard that savings bonds are popular communion gifts.
Also religious gifts - a bible, a first communion mass book (totally not the correct name, but it's a book that follows the mass through each step - the name will come to me), pretty rosary beads, if its a girl, a crucifix necklace...that kind of thing.

$$$ is usually customary. If it is a child I am close to (niece or nephew) I might get a gift, otherwise, I just write a check.
