Should I hire someone cheap for the engagment party and then someone else for the wedding, or find the right company/person now and use them for both??
I dont want a loudmouth, party maniac DJ for either. And I am having a hard time expressing that to the DJ's that I have spoke to...I think I'm too nice sometimes

Try Vinny from High Voltage! He is reasonable and gives you a discount if you use him for e-party and wedding (I think) and he will play/do whatever you want him too -he is a vendor on this site

I think LI Sound gives a discount if you book both E-party and the wedding. I've heard only good things about them, nothing bad. I booked them and like you, I don't want a loud-mouth maniac either. I really don't think they're like that, but they could be if you want them to. They seem to be really good at 'getting it'.

I second that! Vinny is great and not at all in your face.
