I'm about maybe an inch taller... To me it looks funny when I wear heels (lil noticable). I've been thinking about the wedding pics. Should he stand on a lil stool? LoL

Kimmie, I was wondering the same. He has maybe an inch on me, but I don't want to be taller than him, but also don't want to wear total flats.

DH is 1 inch taller than me so I wore 1 inch box heels and we looked fine. It worked for me becuase I am not a heel person anyway.

I wouldn't ask him to stand on a stool. I'm about 1 1/2 inches taller than FI, I will wear almost flats, 3/4 inch. I know you feel prettier and feminine in heels, But I've decided it's more important to me that I can look him in the eyes as I marry him and dance with him. You won't even be able to tell under your dress.

i am a good inch - inch and a half taller than FH. The way I look at it is that it doesn't matter! When you take head shots. yes either I will take my shoes off, or crouch a little. But the fact of the matter is that you are taller. It's ok to be taller, both of you will look so great that day that it won't matter!

My cousin's wife is taller than he is by at least two inches. They had a creative photographer and you would never know the difference in pics. Any pictures of them side by side weren't taken in full view and they had a lot of them with one of them sitting, he on his knee holding her hand, etc. the only problem might be ceremony pics but all of the posed ones they have tricks. For example, Sylvester Stallone is only 5'6' or 5'7' but you'd never know it the way they shoot him in movies.

My FH is an inch taller than I am. In response to your question, my answer is to stand tall, be yourself, and be beautiful at any height.
I don't see any discussion of the need for the guys to wear platform shoes or anything. Why is it our problem?
I used to be very self-consious about this until I somehow decided I just am who I am and I love fh no matter what size. (and thankfully vice versa)

FH is probably 2 inches taller than me, but I always always wear high heels going out, the shoes I bought for the wedding are kitten heels...I'm not crazy about the other lower heels I saw...the kitten heels were feminine and about 1 inch so it was a perfect mix

I'm at least 2' taller than my FH. I did buy 3/4' heels, but I will still be taller. I would never ask him to stand on anything. Everyone knows I'm taller than him anyway, so why pretend I'm not.

I ended up with a half inch heel so I won't completely tower over FI. We are pretty much eye to eye although I believe I am a smiggin taller. I am also opting for a softer hair style to not 'raise' my height anymore. I did think about shoe lifts for him but decided against it. I never wear shoes at receptions anyway, so why start with mine! I won't be doing the garter toss so if my stockings get dirty, I couldn't care

Wear ballet slippers. They sell them in bridal stores and i think at myglassslipper.com. However i saw a bride do it once and it was them most elegant thing.

Can I ask everyone ---why is it such a bad thing to be taller that FH? Even if it is just when you put on kick-*** heels that you love??? Is this just about convention or about feeling comfortable or what? I'm not at all judging, I'm just really curious why it is something that people even think about one way or another.

The reason why I mentioned stool was that wen his mom got married she was a lil taller and he stood on a stool. She keeps mentioning the whole stool thing to me which I keep finding a lil ridiculous. I'd love to wear sneakers under the dress I'm such a sneaker person LoL but that may be a lil silly. Maybe cute sneakers (father of the bride movie keeps popping into my head) lol
