yeah but I figure thats what we would do in Sandals anyway so I dont know if its worth going to Miami
Miami is so much fun and you will will love it there. I think it will be different then Sandals because you will be at a resort. I could go to South Beach 1000 times and never get sick of it. I really can't compare to an island vacation because it is different. There are a few tours that you can go on that are fun.

i think the environment is VERY different at lets say a sandals and then southbeach. For example, bars and clubs are soooo different in miami than they will be at any resort. Resorts the clubs were eh, a bunch of older ppl and families. The same with shopping it will be very different and even going out to restaurants its very different. Not like at a sandals where you have the main dining hall and the restaurants inside but going out to eat just at the restaurants in the resort. In miami its a different atmosphere. We even stayed twice in coconut grove which is 10-15 mins away from Miami and LOOOVED IT!!! there were just blocks and blocks of boutiques, so many restaurants, different types of bars like senor frogs fat tuesdays and all that. We had alot of fun and everything was right there within walking range. During the day we would go to south beach since it was a 10-15 min drive so it was perfectly fine

ITA. South Beach is amazing and you should def go.
VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE THERE!!!!!!!!! make sure you have extra money!!! everything- including one drink- had a 17% gratuity tacked on!!!
i was there for a day off a cruise and there was def a lot of nightlife going on and i agree its verrry expensive..hth and good luck
