My mom and FMIL have been asking to go to the DR with me, since I have found out I was pg. however FH always wants to come and the rooms are so small I cant see the 4 of us plus the dr. standing around for the 2 second exam I get...
Well the 25th is my BIG sono, and of course my mom assumed she was coming.. I do want her there, but I cant invite her w/o FMIL, and of course FH will be there as well...
Is this even allowed in the room, all these people???? should i call my dr and ask??? I want my mom to be able to share this as well...Im her only daughter, and it the 1st grandchild on both sides...
what do i do? Anyone else have more than one person with you???

I asked my mom to come to my big sono on the 31st. DH thinks his mom will be insulted I didn't ask her. She is not my mother and lets just say she will not be an active grandma (she told me she will NOT babysit at all!!! ...its a very long story).
When I called my Dr's office to schedule, she said I can have who ever I want in the room with me.

See I want his mom there as well... she is very invovled and has done so much for us with everything....
But I keep thinking ...what if they do an internal do i want my legs spread open wide with all these people in the room...
I dont know maybe im just being silly...the more the merrier right?

Call the office and ask them. If they allow everyone, then have FMIL come with you.

Call the doctor see what they say. If they do an internal ask the moms to wait outside and when they do the sonogram have them come back in.

Personally, I think this is a very personal thing and would be a very special thing for you and your DH to experience alone...I have heard of moms and MIL's into the sonograms, but I've never heard of them coming to every appointment! If that works for you though, that's great. Don't worry about everyone fitting, I'm sure they will. Will they both be in the DR with you too?

When we had ours done the machine accepted VHS tapes so the entire sono was video taped. We just brought it over to both of our parents to show them for Christmas, especially since our little man revealed himself on it.
Maybe you can tape it?

taping it would be a great idea...
They'be been to no visits with us at all...and I felt the frist time we saw the baby and heard the baby we should be alone...so i did not even consider them being there... this time.... i kinda want them there...
i feel wierd though taking up 5 seats in the waiting room, and having all these people stand around the sono room... i dunno????
FMIl said to me the other day... You are gonna have it so we can all be in the room with you...
DEF NOT!!!! while im in labor come visit and be a hand for me to squeeze... but when it comes to delivery i want it just to be me n fh!!!!
I know they say when your in labor you dont care whose in your chach...but thats not me...!!

Ok so I called the DR. today and asked...the receptionist was like 'Oh sure, you can pack as many people as you want in there for this'
So Im guessing since this is the big SONO its normal for people to have more than one person in the room!!!
Both moms are so happy they can come, and Im happy they can share that with us too!
