What to do when a vendor doesn't return calls? UPDATE

Hi Girls!

I have been trying to schedule a make-up trial appointment with a vendor who comes highly recommended on this site, BUT I've left her 2 messages and sent 2 E-mails and still haven't heard anything back from her.....and its been over 2 weeks!! I don't know if I should give it more time or just let it go and pursue others? I was really excited about using her too

UPDATE:

So, I sent her another E-mail yesterday and figured it would be my last attempt, and...............she got back to me today!! She lost all of my information, but actually had my first name and date saved in her datebook! I am sooooooooooo excited!!! I'll be going for my trial in the next few weeks!!!

I would try emailing then possibly calling one last time. This is busy wedding season, so getting back to everyone might be tough. And if it's who I think it is, (the makeup arist I'm using to give you a clue) she is VERY busy!!! I believe she has only a few spots open for next year!!! So be patient, especially if you have time!!

Thanks!

I was planning on trying just once more, but I don't want to seem like a bother or a 'crazy' bride to her! Also, I was beginning to second guess her reliability at this point and wonder if its even worth it anymore!

P.S.-> She's not the same one as your using

If she's a vendor on here, try contacting her through here!!!

PS I had some vendors that I emailed and messaged through here almost 2 months ago and some of them haven't gotten back to me until this week!!

I agree that you should just give the vendor a little more time. I think I know who you are referring to... right now make up artists are SUPER busy... my make up artist told me that she is booked solid for the rest of the year.

It took me two e-mails, a call, and waiting for days to get in touch with the make-up person I want to use (very possibly the same one you are talking about). But I figure that the day of the wedding, she's all mine! No worries.

I think I may know who you are referring to, I had a similar situation but she did confirm for me. I would give her a little more time, I agree it's busy.

I think I know who you are referring to. I had someone contact me 2-3 weeks after I first contacted her.

I still have yet to hear anything back
I am really disappointed, but am still hopeful that she will get back to me before the summer is over! Maybe she's just extremely busy or on a vacation......
I really really really want to use her though so I am going to hang in there!

Best thing to do in the meantime....do some test runs at makeup counters to get an idea of what you want. This way when she is ready for you, you'll know exactly what you want!!

(I didn't do this, and I really should have!!)

When I tried to contact my Make-up Girl it took her a while to get back to me. She is very busy (expecially this time of year). Just be persistent. Good Luck

I had the same trouble & to be honest that just turns me off so much! To think that these are HIGHLY reccomended vendors busy or not you have to try to get to us asap......THINK i should keep waiting or just try other vendors as well????

nypdgirl,

I definitely don't think you should give-up at all and I felt the same exact way as you do! They definitely should get back to us right away, but I lerned that external circumstance often prevent them from doing so as soon as we would expect or like them too (busy schedules, vacations, misplacing information, unclear voicemails etc...) Definitely give it another shot.....I did and it worked!
