I want to be able to decide who gets a centerpiece to take home. I don't want to do a little game with the DJ and I don't want people to randomly take them home. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!
ETA: I thought about writing the person's name on the bottom but then someone from every table would have to get one.

We're giving it to the oldest couple at the table.

I don't think you should tell people who gets to take home centerpiece. I think that is mean. JMO. If you want your close family and friends to have them, then tell them they should grab them at the end of the night.
I also hate it when the DJ plays the game.

I think there are creative ways to give them away. Of course, at your parents tables maybe your mom and MIL should get those CPs. Also, I've seen them given to the person who has traveled the farthest to be there. There's the old birthday closest to the wedding date, and then there are games to give them away. Either way, do give them away because some people will just leave it there (what a waste) because they feel funny taking it. Others will pull it apart and take pieces of it home and that may not be the way you wanted it. My friend had the staff at the hall break apart the CPs and give each woman at the table a little wrapped bo-k to take home. At least it was controlled that way and it wasn't a cat fight!

Theres a game? Never knew that.
I never thought about this, I guess I do not really care who takes them home. If they want to fight it out I am all for that.

you can also put a little sticker or something underneath 1 person's plate at each table. And let that person be the one to take it home.
