What to expect when searching for DJ's

What to expect when searching for DJ's

I have noticed that a lot of time when my FI and I go to research major vendors, we never know what to expect at first. I always feel like the first two are like trial runs before we figure out what is going on and what is usually shown or done. (Example...photographer studios - will show their albums.)

We are searching for DJ's now...can someone who went through this part already describe what will occur at most DJ places. What is usually said or done. Just looking for general things they ask or do. I realize not all places will do the same things.

Usually they ask you what you are looking for - like a light show, giveaways, what type of music you like, if you want any add ons like a string quartet, etc, then they'll go through their packages and sometimes show you a video of their work. Mainly it came down to who I felt the most comfortable with and the most professional. Good luck!
