what to give with a donation favor?

I want to do a breast cancer donation as my favor but I want a cool (and inexpensive) way to present the concept to my guests. Any ideas?

I love the pink bracelets, but the ones from the legit organizations are sold out. I don't trust that a non-charity selling those bracelets is actually giving to charity.

slacker. you probably didn't even give a real donation.

or you could buy some pink ribbon and some safety pins and make those little ribbons people wear for breast cancer month (october)...i really like those things...i used to have a collection of them when i was in high school.

you can have a bowl of heart shape goodies (ex. candles, with the bride and groom name on it). Any guess that wants one donate a $1

This should be cheap...and I think people will be willing to do it since it's for a good cause.

i am doing hand rolled truffles with my donation. i got a cheap price b/c it is a guy that i work with at my restaurant and he is just starting his chocolate business.

We are doing a donation to the American Cancer Society and Heart Association in memory of our Granparents. We made cute scrolls, if you would like I can send you a copy of them...

If the guests need something they can take home, they can take the place card holders

We are doing a donation to breast cancer and giving each couple a square votive candle holder with labels that let them now a donation was made in their honor.

Pink & White M&M's in little mesh pouches. We were thinking of doing that ourselves (only red & white for the American Cancer Society), but instead we're putting on peopel's place cards 'In Lieu of favors we have decided to make a donation in your name to the American Caner Society in memory of those we've lost to cancer...'
Something along those lines, but on the table with the placecards will be a framed list of our family memebers who past on from cancer, possibly even pictures of them. We love this idea so much, not just because of the money saving factor but because between the two of us we've lost so many family memebers to cancer so it means a lot to us.

I like the M&M idea! I also think Pink Ribbons would be nice.

In most of the weddings I've been to where a donation has been made, I've either received an individual note or there was a frame at the placecard table and that was it.

we did the lance armstrong bands, with a business card sized note attached explaining the favor... personally, i think just a card or an announcement is fine enough if the pink bands are sold out... i personally would rather have more money to give to the charity then to spend it on something else... jmo
