What to Make for the 4th? (Recipes)

I'm going to a friend's BBQ and want to bring some food. I'm making Korean Chicken but wanted to add something else. I think there will be a lot of salad, so I don't want to being more. Any ideas?

I thought about orange cake with grand marnier, what do you think? (I have a paper to do and am obviously looking for distractions).

I have a dessert idea for you. My mom makes it every year for July 4th.

It's called 'Dirt'

Really easy to make....chocolate pudding, whipped cream and crushed oreos...that's it! You layer all the ingredients 3 times and put it in one of those plastic pails that kids take to the beach and use the little shovel that comes with it to serve it. Everyone loves it!

lol.. i always bake when i want to be distracted..
at the supermarket you could get a cakemix.. substitute the grand mariner in for one of the liquids.. work on the paper while it bakes.. then when its done you could always add extra mariner in

I luuuuuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvvvvvv DIRT,,,,You can also get some gummy worms and put them on top.

You can make fruit salad or the american flag cake (strawberries and blue berries and whipped cream)

Thanks Mandy - I think my little cousins would especially love it, and get a kick out of the pail and shovel.

I had to bring something in to Fh school, the last day, he is a teacher and they had a party while they waited for there pay checks for the summer. I made low fat pasta salad. I took rotini pasta, cooked it, (spiral pasta), added defrosted frozen, peas and carrots, corn, and cauliflower, tossed that in and then added Ken's light Italian salad dressing and served it cold. It was a hit, and it was gone by the time the afternoon was over.
