What to throw at the church

We are not allowed to throw rice, rose pedals, or birdseed. I don't want to do bubbles because the lady at the bridal salon said it would stain my dress.

So I was speaking with the deacon and he said the only thing we can throw outside is something that another couple used there that washes away and breaks up when you step on it.

Does anybody know what he's talking about?
