What to throw besides rice...

I am looking for really unique ideas for guest to do after the ceremony besides throwing rice at us. I don't want bubbles. Sparklers are a cool idea but or ceremony is 4:30pm in June on the beach and it will be still sunny out, you won't see the sparklers. I want something different. I wanted to do the butterfly release but there are too many negatives about it. Thanks!
