So we are not allowed to use pedals and i was set on using bubbles.. however, i was informed that they will def stain my bridesmaids dresses ... so now what do i do???

We ended up not throwing anything and nobody missed it (including me). Plus it was one less thing to pay for!

People threw these tiny white sugar candies at one wedding I went to and that was cute. Another wedding i went to they threw flower seeds - I think they were lavendar seeds. That was really nice but not sure if your church would allow that

I love these - Streamer Throws - I ordered some samples and they're AWESOME (another bride on LIW suggested them). They're a little pricey (so we're sticking to petals) but really cool looking and easy to clean up and throw away.

We are getting married at a greek church and i dont think they let you throw anything, but i ordered rose pedels and just going to do it anyway!

I was a wedding coordinator for a church in Boston during college, and we would fine couples. It was a hefty fine, $250 for throwing petals, $500 if the limo drove up on the plaza, which was also prohibited. Limo companies and photographers were then banned for up to 3 years if they didn't comply with the no driving/no flash during ceremony laws. I wouldn't try to break any rules.

My church doesn't allow rose petals or rice or bird seed or anything really except bubbles, so I bought these. silver streamers pop out over the bride and grrom but stay attached so that people just throw them out when they are done. It looks really cool in pictures I have seen.
