we want them to be super cas (ie like jeans and polos or soemthing like that) but i dont want to look like super geeks in matching clothes!!!!! should maybe he wear a white one and i wear a red one or something?

potrait photographers recommend you compliment not contrast eachother
I think FH and I are going to both wear dark jeans and he's going to wear a tan sweater with a button down and I'm going to wear a brown sweater (not sure about a button down).
That's our normal casual dress and I think it reflects our style very well.
We are taking our pictures in Central Park on October 7th so hopefully the leaves will be turning too.

If you don't want to match, I'd say go for opposites then. Both wear jeans, but one of you wear black and the other wear white.

We're at the same point right now - e-pics in two weeks and we are trying to figure out what to wear. We both plan on wearing jeans but the tops are driving me crazy. I'll probably wear black - cause I always do but I have no idea for him. Keep us posted on your decision.

I wore a purple shirt with a black/purple skirt, FH wore a black shirt with kahki pants. It looked good.

thanks girls...yeah i agree..the polos really show our every day style...and we wanted as i said super cas...also cause some of the picutures will have fiona (our dog) in them too...
i want to go and get us new ones though so they arent faded or anything....

I took mine late October of 2002 in Central Park (OMG that was a long time ago ) and we wore jeans and I wore a fitted knit shirt and he wore a sweater. The colors were complimenting but not matching. I love the way they came out!
Jan05Bride - you mentioned you are taking pictures there on 10/7 when the leaves are changing - thats what I wanted also but unfortunately none of the leaves had changed by the end of Oct 2002. If thats something that you really want you may want to make your appt later on in the fall.
Yeah, we're getting ours done in about a month. I don't want us to wear jeans cause I feel that is too casual for us, but I don't want us too dressed up either. I would normally wear a dress, but I hate the fall and never know what to wear in mixed weather.

I think that it would look too made up for the engagement photos, if you wear a lot of make-up everyday then go for it, but if not I wpuld stick to your own make-up. JMO
