We are having our E-pics taken on Oct 20th. I was thinking a black turtleneck, jeans and boots. Any thoughts?
Does black not look ok? Would a turtleneck make me look funny? Are jeans too informal? Should FH match?

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
If I were you, I would wear a brighter color bc it would stand out in the pictures. I think jeans are fine...if thats the look that u want for the pics. A turtle neck would be fine and so would boots. I dont think FH has to match, but that would look cute. JMO

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
I wore a cream shirt and black skirt for 2nd e-photos. He wore blue shirt and khaki's. It brought our best of both of us.
In first photos we matched better but were each 35-40 lbs heavier, so we had new photos made after we lost weight!
A good photographer will make any background look good. Just wear what flatters you each more!

I think that sounds fine. Maybe bring a colorful sweater too just in case? To wear over or change into (if you can do it somewhere if you're taking outside pictures) in case you want to see both color or black? Boots and jeans sound fine though. Have fun!

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
Karen...just offering my personal opinion, as you've seen my pro pics of our family photo shoot. I like the look of 'matching' outfits in pro pics - but that is not for everyone.
In our e-pics, I wore charcoal grey and DH wore brown. We thought those colors flattered each of us appropriately. To me, it ended up looking awkward in the photos.
You are fair skinned w/light eyes, so black would make an amazing contrast in either color or B&W photos....DH doesn't have to match your outfit exactly, but having outfits that are similar is helpful so that nothing you are wearing stands out more than your beautiful faces. Any photographer will tell you that much. Avoid any patterns.
Most of all, have FUN!! I can't wait to see the results!

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
Let's see........
FH wore button down shirt & jeans I wore black pants and a grey blouse.
I think you should wear whatever you are comfortable in. Personally, getting all snazzed up wasn't our style and what we wore for our pictures truly reflects how we are.
Dress in a way that reflects your style and personalities.

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
When we go to sign our contract this week, the photographers are going to discuss what we should wear for our e-shoot...I can post the info if you'd like....I'm sure certain colors and style of clothing flatter better than others.

Re: What to wear for E-SHOOT????
I wore a white button up shirt, with a design in the embroidery of the material and black capris. FH wore a button up, short sleave light tan and white small checkered shirt and black pants. THEY CAME OUT GREAT IN PICS, especially black and whites. The black and white picked up the materials texture/patern. Very happy with how it came out.

DH and I wore busines suits for our engagement photos. We wanted formal shots. We got them done at K-Mart and Sears Portait Studios.
