What to wear to reunion?

I have my high school reunion coming up and I'm not sure what to wear. It's at a catering hall. There's going to be a DJ. Should I consider it a formal event, semi-formal? Would a pants outfit be ok? I don't want to show up in a formal outfit and have everyone else be in jeans...

I don't even know what I have to wear because I'm not sure what will fit me since having the baby.

Any ideas of what this calls for? And what should DH wear?

Mine's on the 27th at the Melville Marriot. I have a brown velvet suit that I'm going to wear. It kind of can go either way, but I'm going to wear heels with it and it'll be a little dressy.

A friend's dad used to say, it's always better to be a little overdressed than to be underdressed...

I would think of it as semi-formal. A dressy pants outfit or a sexy dress would be appropriate.

I agree...semi formal...more business formal than wedding formal..pants suit is perfect, or a little black dress.....

I just went to mine in October. It was also in the Melville Marriott. I wore a brown silk knee length dress- semi formal I guess. Other people were abotu the same or a ' going out' outfit-- skirt & shiny top, dressy pants, etc.

Dh wore a button down, tucked in, no tie, office pants & I think a sport jacket.

Some guys had ties.

mine was a little more towrds the wedding or party side than the businness side, but ours was 10 year. maybe older crowds or better schools would be more refined!

My mom wore a purple skirt suit to my dad's 40th which was at Captain Bill's.

Maybe you can call your high school reunion coordinator and ask the dress code?
