HELP I am stuck! I am trying to write thank yous and can't think

If they gave a nice gift something like thank you for the generous gift. We plan on using it for/towards (insert use here). DH and I were so glad to see you and (wife/husband/gf/bf) at the wedding.
if they gave a crappy gift:
I hope you get crabs

My FH was having this same problem (I made him write the ones for his side). To give him an example, I jokingly said, using a lettuce/vegetable keeper as an example: 'Thank you very much for the lettuce keeper. We love to eat salad and prefer when it's not rotten. We look forward to seeing you at the wedding. Love, A & T'.
So when we started writing thank you notes, he actually thought I was gonna write that to my aunt! He's so funny.
Oh how I love him...

I have been mostly writing 'thank you so much for the generous gift! We were so happy that you and (husband/wife/SO) were able to share in our special day with us! We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!' That's been my main thing... if I can remember something specific about them from that day, I will write that - ie 'We loved seeing you have such a great time on the dance floor all night!' HTH!

There's usually books at the library to help with that kind of thing as well.
