I work in midtown, so the commute from queens is pretty fast - just one subway, an express, which takes about 20-25 minutes max.

I work in Manhattan right down the block from Penn Station and I live on LI. The commute is a b**** but it's pretty decent job for now and I don't work nights or weekends.

I work on Long Island. I actually teach in the middle school I used to attend! It is so funny to be back there as a teacher!!

I work in Manhattan. I am down in Soho. The commute is a pain but I LOVE IT!! Not sure if I could go back to working on LI.

That traffic is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! I still manage to get to the mall during lunch. My secret is going before 12 or after1- that traffic isn't so bad then. Or, I just go to Target!

LOL I'm so glad I work north of that so I only hit that traffic if I meet FH at his office for lunch (He's in the Huntington Quad 3 days a week) I usually make him come to me because his lunch hour is more flexible than mine. And so I don't have to sit at that light for 10 mins!
