Both of my parents are off from work this week. Well, I think they have too much time off b/c MY DAD was watching a soap opera with my mom yesterday. And he knew like the whole story...LOL
It was so funny b/c my dad is more of a sci-fi /history channel/Sopranos kinda guy.
What shows do you and FH watch together and both realy get into?
We watch Prison Break and Heroes!! I have to DVR them when he's working. I tried getting him into Lost, but he wont watch it. He will also watch the occasional wedding planning type show w/ me, but not always.

arrested development...we used to watch that when it was on! Love that show. Its so off the wall..lol

FH and I watch Bear Gryles, The Hills and Bridezilla together. He loves the Hills. 2 weeks ago, I fell asleep b4 it came on and he stayed awake to watch it!

we watch the food network a lot! entourage sometimes he'll watch big love w/ me top chef, hells kitchen home edition make over heroes law and order SVU poker tournaments im sure theres a few more but i cant think of them right now!

It's a show that I think is on Discovery Channel..it's about teams of fisherman and deckhands that their salary is based on how much fish/shrimp/etc. that they can catch. Sometimes they're in the arctic...it just shows how dangerous their jobs are and how the food we eat ends up on the shelves in stores. It's addicting.
FH and I regularly watch:
Lost...(when he was still away at school we would watch it and call each other and be like omg- this guy died...did you see it coming??) Iron Chef America Feasting on Asphalt Good Eats Flight of the Conchords If I'm watching the Sex & the City DVD's he'll watch with me, he doesn't make me turn it off... He'll watch Grey's Anatomy with me even though he insists that he doesn't like it.

We do not really watch any new TV shows together.
mostly older shows: Seinfeld, Everybody loves Raymond, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will and Grace, Frasier
We dont watch much tv until we lay down at night to go to bed, so its usually shows we have seen, so we leave them on and set the timer.. then off to bed.
I usually only watch TV when I am alone.. then its court tv, forensics, HBO on demand to catch up on shows I missed.

It's a show about the deadliest job in America. Deep Sea fishing in the Bering Sea, off the coast of Alaska.
It trails several ships, and shows how they catch crab (there are several different crab seasons, Alaskan King Crab, Ophelia... etc.) They travel around the sea, in the worst of weather, and lay 'pots' which are crab traps. Then they let them sit and go back and get them out of the water, and store the crab on the ship until they go to a central 'port' and deliver them.
Each season is short, generally lasting a week or two, and the men who do the fishing get very little sleep over that time.
They make a lot of money..... I have seen some ships where each deckhand gets $50k plus for a couple of weeks worth of work!
It is sooooooo addicting!!! Oh, and it's on the Discovery Channel, but, it's in between seasons now.

Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Eureka, the 4400, Deadliest Catch, Mythbusters, My Name Is Earl, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, The Rock of Love, The Pick Up Artist, all sporting events..
We've actually had a tivo blow up from overuse...

Ahhh.... boo! We heard about it recently from a friend, and then there was a marathon on, I think Friday night? And we watched some, and then we set up a taping on the DVR.... I guess we'll have to wait for next season!

We watch House, NCIS, CSI Miami and the original (hate CSI NY), Last Comic Standing, Deadlist Catch, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Miami Ink sometimes, Survivorman and the one that's just like it on some other channel (I like that one better), and whatever home and garden channel show I have on when he walks in (I love HGTV).
