I have Geico. I am saving $1500 a year by switching!!!
They wouldn't take FH though because he's WAY less than perfect.

wow.....so lots of you have GEICO...maybe i will call them?? how are they as far as service, etc...is it easy to speak to them, are they helpful, etc???
my fh's driving record wasn't too great back in his late teens-early 20's....so hopefully that won't be an issue for us??????

Re: What type of CAR insurance do you have?
Also, if you have an insurance policy, can you switch to another company before your policy expires because my DH just renewed with Libery Mutual and we are insuring another car and I want to use GEICO but he doesn't think he can cancel his policy. Does anyone know this?

I believe you can just cancel your policy. Dh canceled from State Farm when he switched over to mine.

Rachel your DH should be able to cancel his policy at any time, unless the company has an early cancellation fee (very rare but some companies do charge a penalty). Just make sure that you obtain other coverage prior to canelling so there is no lapse in coverage.
I worked for GEICO for many years and still have lots of friends there. They will be happy to know that so many people have GEICO and are happy with them. They really are a great company!

Re: What type of CAR insurance do you have?
Geico! They are the BEST company! I would never leave them even if someone gave me insurance for FREE! :)
I have had a few claims and they were right there for me every step of the way, Their prices are outstanding and their customer service is wonderful! Everyone is so nice and friendly. Honestly, I know I sound like I have stock in the company or something, but they really are my FAVORITE company. I got all my friends and family to go with them and everyone is thrilled!
The only downfall, they have silly commercials! :)
Good luck Denise

Re: What type of CAR insurance do you have?
Hey Denise, I get free insurance and Geico ALWAYS sends me stuff in the mail.
I say that unless they are going to pay me for using them, forget it! LOL

Re: What type of CAR insurance do you have?
My family owns a small insurance company in Manhattan. They broker out through places like Lighthouse, DCAP, etc. I guess they cover more high risk type drivers. They are not cheap! Well, except for me!
