I'm coming from the UK in March to get married in NY then I'm having a reception back in the UK. Shall I get a wedding dress for NY . It might get wet/soiled etc and I might look silly
Shall I just get a nice gown for my wedding reception and a more ordinary outfit for NY.
Helppppp, I just can't decide
To buy something nice from NY would be cool but I'm not sure I'm going to have time

No just getting married . we'll hopefully find a nice restaurant after but there'll only be four of us in the wedding party .
No bridesmaids as such, just my children (daughter 20, son -18 )
The reception will be in the UK

I think what ever you feel comfortable with is fine. As long as you like your dress I won't worry about is. Also if you are unsure take your daughter shopping with you.
