i thought about buffet b/c my parents went to one like that a few years back and said it was great. unfortunately, you can't have that with 150+ guests! it might get too out of hand. so sit down it is!

we were originally gonna do buffet until we went ot a wedding that had one...it was crazy....people were online so long...and it was just very disoranized...i guess it depends on the venue but i wasnt crazy about it but i am sure if there is a good system it can be nice

we're doing a buffet, only b/c it's a day wedding and we don't want it all super formal, and also b/c even though we know the food is great at timber point we heard the portions are tiny and everyone we've spoke to had a buffet and said it was fabulous

Just like my vendors, my guests can suck it up for 5 hours and not eat.

oh good idea! Just make sure you serve alcohol though so they can all drink on empty stomachs. Everyone will be falling all over eachother and you'll have some great pics!

i wanted to just tell my guests to just eat before but no one liked the idea so i had to go with sit down

I wanted to do a 5 hour heavy cocktail reception -- my hall doesn't do it especially for parties my size.

So sit down dinner!

Sit down dinner filled with 6 courses and an hr and a half cocktail hr and a full dessert hr....plus as the guests leave we got the nyc to go package so our guests will get soft pretzels, roasted nuts and coffee as they leave. We both have huge italian families where they think it is a sport to eat as much as possible!

we wanted a buffet but our families thought a sit down would be better so we went with the sit down
