What type of undergarments did you/plan on wearing?
I was thinking about doing the whole sexy undergarment stuff but not sure it is a good idea?!?!

Why wouldn't it be a good idea? Comfort? Well, if you want to wear lacy underwear or a thong (if you're not used to them) I'd suggest that you wear similar styles prior to your wedding so that you get used to it.
The only thing I wouldn't wear is thigh highs, because no matter how tight they are, they always roll down my legs and I have to constantly pull them up and unroll the bunched-up top.
If your dress is tight or satin and you aren't wearing a poofy slip underneath, I wouldn't wear garters and stockings, because there is the possibility that you could see the clips and straps through the dress when you sit down.

I am not wearing thongs becasue they are uncomfortable with my dress

I only wear thongs, so that's what I'm going to wear under my dress, of course. I'm either going to get a long strapless bra or just use the cups that I'll have sewn into the dress. I'm lucky enough to not need support.

Hanky Panky makes REALLY comfortable thongs (they're cute, too). They run about $18 a pair if you want sexy but comfortable.

OMG - ladies, I found the cutest pair of undies for the day of the wedding!!! I didn't want to wear thongs because it's unneccesary since I have a poofy dress and I don't want a wedgy becuase it'll take me an hour just get underneath... so I went to Fredricks of Hollywoods and bought these white see through full back panties, with a pretty white bow on the front and the back has those ruffles like little girls where over their diaper... you know??? THey're so cute!

I had such a problem with this since I have to wear cotton non thong underwear (won't go into it, TMI) but I ended up with a pair from VIctoria's Secret that was white and said 'something blue' on them with little ruffles, came with matching tank that said 'i do' which I wore on the HM. GOt it online (and was partially lycra/cotton mix)...very comfy!!

I am wearing comfy panties for most of the day, but will have the sexy pair in my bag so I can switch them off when the time is right...fh will never know the diff and I'll be comfortable all day.
