Re: What vacuum is the best??
I bought a new vacuum a little over a year ago and did a ton of research. I went with Sears Kenmore brand. I LOVE it! It was rated number one in consumer reports. The only draw back is it is 21lbs...but you will find that so many of them are around the same. I have a ranch, so it works for me. some of my favorite features...It has all tools onboard with a 17' extension hose (if you don't know...this is unusual - it's very long)...it also has the small beater bar for upolstry...I have 2 dogs so it cleans the dog hair off the couches nicely.
My FSIL has the Dyson and hates it. She said its cheaply made...for instance the hose split down on the seam for the tools and it isn't very long. I also believe it weighs more than 21lbs. I'm sure there are different models...I'm just going by what she says about hers...(btw...its 4 years old).
one last thing...I'm not a fan of bagless vacuums..they gross me out...you dump the canister in the garbage and all the dust goes back in the air. So...that being said...I only researched bagged vacuums.
Good Luck! Jeez...I haven't posted this much about anything wedding related...vacuums get me all excited. I'm a clean/neat freak...can you tell? LOL

I agree - I was hesitant of buying Dyson because of the price but I'm also sick and tired of buying new vacuum every 6 months. My old vacuum has so many problem. Either its clug or not sucking any dirt at all.

I hear mixed things about the dyson....I was gung ho about it but in the end I ended up registering for an Electrolux. I subscribed to Consumer reports and they ranked really high. Believe it or not- the Sears vaccums were the best!
