I've tried on my dress and am utterly confused about what veil length to go for.
What's everyone doing? Pics would be great!!!

I went with fingertip but the sales lady picked it out and I didn't try on any others.

I am going for the fingertip length. Anything longer than that would take away from my dress and train!

I'm doing a cathedral and elbow length. I'll use the elbow length as my blusher and will most likely keep it on for the reception.

I had a fingertip length veil.
ETA: The dress and it's train were trouble enough.

I have a cathedral length lace trimed veil and a separate blusher for the ceremony. Not veil for reception!

This is so tough. I've always wanted a long veil to walk down the aisle with a blusher then to just keep the short veil on for the reception.
I tried on my dress and the saleslady recommended a short veil, mom's no help either as she's always wanted a short veil - less hassle regardless of looks. I feel with the short veil its like a communion veil not a wedding veil.
I really don't know what to do. I know the proper full length cathedral looks bad on me, but a custom fit one might be ok.
Pain in the neck!

I think it really depends on your dress. What do the ladies say where you got your dress? try on different styles on and I think once you have the one that fits with your dress, hairpiece, hairstyle, jewelry, and your style you will know.

She recommended a custom short veil in her opinion. I tried on fingertip and it was basically to the back of my knees with my dress on, so it wasn't really a fingertip length for me, it was a bit longer.
It's really hard to visualize tbh with my dress. I have a lot going on in the back of my dress, I obviously don't want a thick veil or one with too much bunching but length is getting to me. I'm not falling in love with anything. i've tried on both styles but because of my height and dress not altered yet it looks all weird to me.
