What was the approximate ratio of the rooms you blocked vs. the rooms that were actually booked?

Night before wedding... blocked 20, 3 booked
Night of wedding... blocked 25, 11 booked.

I feel guilty for blocking that many rooms, but a LOT more people told me they were gonna stay! Now a lot of them are going home...

I had the same issue. Everyone and their mother was staying and then changed their minds. Out of the 30 rooms we blocked, there are currently 11 booked.

i booked only 10 spread out for a few of the days... (out of state bridal party...they came early)

my issue was that many booked... more than i would have ever imagined about (25 rooms)... here's the kick in the pants:

most of them used their AAA discounts, so it didn't show up on the room block.

NO ONE makes any of this easy.

for the record: my hotel contract stated that if i didn't meet 70% of my block, I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REMAINING %AGE. this means that if i only had 4 rooms blocked, i would have to pay for 3 empty rooms... this is why i went with a low #
