We're going back a ways here... this one doesn't quite count since I never got to the show, but I remember being very angry with my parents because they wouldn't let me go see Alice Cooper when I was 15 or 16. The concert was in downtown Detroit and Dad didn't think it was safe for me to go there.
I can't remember which was the 'first' concert, but during high school I remember seeing The Who and also Jackson Browne.

Wasnt allowed to go to Concerts until I was a Senior.. and hardly anyone came to San Antonio.. I would have had to go to Austin to see a show or Houston. Dad said no way to that. Paul McCartney opened the AlamoDome. I got tickets and took my Dad.. it was great. I nearly missed my own graduation for it!

I was about 11 or 12 .. it was Rick Springfield, at the Meadowlands in NJ, @1982.

1986??????? I didn't even see them until 88, and they were opening for Tiffany THEN! That is unbelievable - you are going to have to tell me more because I'm DYING.
Okay, so the first concert I WENT to was an Oldies night thing my Mom won tickets to on the radio with Lou Christie, the Belmonts, and someone else I'm not sure who.
But the first time my parents took me to see a concert for ME was The Monkees in 1987 - Weird Al Yankovic opened.
Interestingly enough, when I met Weird Al, I told him that I had seen him in concert when I was 7. His response (after barely taking a moment for calculation) was 'Oh, so you're 19 now?' I was. He's smart.

Pointer Sisters in 1984 or 85 with my girl scout troop in Westbury music fair.
Then debbie gibon before anyone knew who she was at jones beach in like 87 maybe.
New Kids I saw in giants STadium in 89 that I remember b/c it was the summer before I started HS,
