Re: What was your first post???
this was mine, 09/11/03
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a very nice affordable reception spot that charges less than $50 per person for about 74 people. We are on a budget of 8000 for the whole wedding. thanks
This was when I was actually considering a wedding here in ny, how things have changed?

Re: What was your first post???
My first post was when we invaded the 04 board.
Here it is (I think it is kind of cute!): Hi ladies! This is my first post! :)
My name is Sarah; FH is David. I've been engaged since 12/13/04 - so I haven't done anything other than say yes! We aren't sure of a date yet, and we are beginning to look at sites this weekend. We both live in Queens, but we are mostly interested in sites in Nassau (where we both grew up).
I am really looking forward to this year :)

I think mine was about whether to register for our eparty or not. In case you're all wondering, we're registering.

I think mine was about Velvet Studio Photographer. I wanted to know if anyone else had used them.... And we aren't using them after all!

Mine was 4/27/04 & it was in BHB in regards to the Larkfield Manor...I was wondering if anyone had a wedding there or been to one...It was one of our original choices but we got turned off by it when I reasearched into it!

Re: What was your first post???
I posted an opinion on a post where a bride was upset that a couple of people stiffed her at her wedding -- not even a card.
I said I thought it is wrong to not give a card -- even if you have no money -- you can usually afford a card for 2 bucks. A few people reamed me for that one!!!
I started off with a bang!!!

Re: What was your first post???
Mine was on 10/9/03 This is what I posted:
I'm new to the boards and the wedding planning. We are considering the following reception halls for a June 2006 saturday afternoon wedding (both ceremony & reception at the site): The Riviera, Swan Club, Caffe on the Green, Sand Castle and Stewart Manor. I like the idea of only one event at a time, but the deciding factor will be the price. Any suggestions or ideas. Thanks

Mine was 8/14/04: looking for some places to book?
Im a newbie who is looking to finally get out there and set the date and BOOK! I went to the North Ritz Club as my 1st and it is absolutely beautiful but was amazed to hear of the price for 2006. Girls, what is the average for a Fri/Sat nite? I'm on a budget so this is scary to hear!
Sure, you want it all for a great price but the North Ritz didnt even offer to throw anything it. Not a way to get me to come back with the FI.
