Just wondering. Fh's parents own restaurants and have a hard time getting away so I thought it might be nice for us to take care of his lil sis and give them a weekend getaway to a spa. For my mom I was thinking of taking her to Vegas for a weekend.

They're taking a cruise next year, so we're going to pay for an excursion. (Which gives us plenty of time to save up! )

Those seem like really nice ideas! We didn't do anything too crazy. We got my dad an engraved desk clock with a pen and pencil set, My mom a nice bouquet of flowers in a nice vase and my IL we got a box with a glass cover so you could see the stuff on the top shelf.

my parents: Concert tickets to see ERic Clapton and a Marriot Gift Card to use for a hotel stay
my mom- a little extra for all of her help- a bracelet and a 'mom' angel ornament
Dhs parents- Concert tickets for a spanish group and we paid their hotel that night

everyone has such good ideas. my dad hasn't been on vacation since the 90s. maybe we'll send him somewhere fun. it'd be nice for a week home alone (we live with him) than again he'd probably want us to go, I mean who else would he bring? *sighs*
my mom and grandma who live together we'd probably let them take a little cruise from new orleans to mexico or something. my mom has been dying to go for 3 years now.

i'm not sure what we'll be doing but i know it won't be too extravagant. my parents are paying for the wedding so i'm sure they'd rather that kind of money go towards something they don't have to pay for instead of a gift for them.
however we'll be giving them something special, we just havent figured out what yet.
as far as FMIL goes... she's luck if i let her come. Let alone give her a thank you.

I got my mom the bride and MOB precious moments statue of the mom putting on the pearl necklace. And I got my dad a photo frame. On one side was a picture that I put in it of me and dad when I was born and on the right is going to be a picture of me and dad on my wedding day. On top of the frame it was engraved with 'I'll always be daddy's little girl'. My birth date was engraved under the pic of me as a kid and the wedding date was engraved under the wedding day pic.
