I somehow remember them being associated with
A Whiter Shade of Pale--the original, not the Annie Lenox version.

We were trying to find out what FH's parents were (after his mom passed away) cause we wanted to use it but no one knows what it was.

My parents had their 'reception' at a restaurant - no song.

Theme from A Summer Place. It's instrumental, and it's in that commercial where the Women's Olympic Volleyball team is playing on the beach in the ice. That was their song, but the band played the wrong song for their first dance! I don't know what the band actually played, but that was supposed to be their song.

'Little Green Apples' by Roger Miller
This is the first verse:

And i wake up in the morning with my hair down in my eyes and she says hi
And i stumble to the breakfast table while the kids are going off to school, goodbye.
And she reaches out and takes my hand and squeezes it and says how you feeling hon?
And i look across at smiling lips that warm my heart, and see my morning sun.

We just lost my dad...this is making me even sadder.....

This is funny, my parents never really had a 'song' so it was hard for them to pick one. They finally did and the DJ forgot to bring it so he played some other song that was popular at the time (1972) - but neither remember what it was!

That is too weird. My parent's used 'The Impossible Dream' I have no idea who it's by but, they divorced when I was 3 and nobody has seen my mom since. I told him the song should have been a sign!
