just wondering I always heard 12 weeks but the 2nd trimester doesnt really start until week 14

Do it when it makes sense to you. Alot of people wait until the 2nd trimester only because the risks of something with the baby happening are a little lower.
I told my boss at 10 weeks. But she was pregnant and planning some projects where I would be leading for when she came back from maternity leave (which is almost exactly when I will be starting mine). We have a very good relationship and I knew she would understand and be happy for me so I told her. We both kept it quiet until closer to 11-17 weeks and then I only told a few close people. Everyone else figured it out when I popped - closer to 22+ weeks.

I told my manager at 8 weeks bc I kept coming to work late.

I had to tell people at week 12. I had already started showing and my boobs got huge So it was already obvious to certain people.

I told my boss right away, only because at my job I'm on my feet for 8 hours with no breaks and I was taking breaks to sit down. He was getting mad, so once I explained, he was fine with me resting every once and a while.

I was going to tell them at 16 weeks, since the woman who runs the department I'm in doesn't treat pregnant staff very well.
I ended up doing it at 15 weeks because they gave me an additional program to manage when one of my colleagues went out on maternity leave and it was announced that when she returned she'd be in another department and they weren't replacing her. I felt like I had to tell them in case they wanted to give the program to someone else to manage.
My MOH (who I work with) wanted me to wait for 20 weeks, so that I couldn't be abused for so long.

I think I was about 9 weeks when I told my supervisor/department. I had only told 2 people in my department prior to that

I had to tell at 8 weeks because I fell at work and had to fill out the accident report so I had to disclose that!
Immediately because it was a new job and I started spotting at work. My manager insisted I call the DR and let me leave for my sono.

I just told today, becuase I was out of work all week, I pulled my back out. Please fellow Preggos, DON'T LIFT, esp. to move a COUCH! Dumb me!
Anyway, I am 10 weeks tomorrow and now they all know.!

I'm almost 14 weeks and I still didn't tell anyone at work yet...only close friends who wouldn't spill the beans to the principal. I figured when I come back to school in January I'll tell.
