Also, if i am 23 weeks now.....would you say I am 5 1/2 months.....this is so confusing.

If you are 23 weeks now - I would say you are, yes 5 1/2 months almost 5 months 3 weeks. I'd also say week 28 starts the 3rd trimester - I give 4 weeks per month and 3 months per trimester.Does that make sense?
Sorry my calculation is off, I haven't had caffeine this morning! week 24 would be the 3rd right? I'm really confusing myself, I think I was right the first time! week 28.

weeks 18-22 are the 5th month... does the 3rd tri start @ month 6 or 7?

I am starting my thried trimester on Friday (I think) - that will be the start of week 28 for me.

All the books I have start the 3rd trimester in week 27.
I would say you are still in your 5th month. For me I give 4 weeks per month so at 24 weeks I will say I am 6 months. Hope that makes sense.
So confusing. I will be easier when the baby is just born, no more counting.

One of my books says 'Welcome to the 3rd trimester' at 25 weeks, but I think that's too early. Someone else said 27 weeks, I think that's more accurate.
I'm 23 weeks as well (I believe that's within the sixth month since the fifth is over now...arghhh...so confusing!), and when people ask how many months I am, I've been using a baseball analogy and saying I'm at the 'top of the 6th.'
